9000 BTU Mini Split Air Conditioner - Heat Pump - SENA/09HF

Nice kit very complete. Had it on for 2 weeks now and it's kept my house warm (1000 Sq ft) in North Bay by running the furnace fan. Basement is even warm. Super quiet. In use for 2 weeks. Very happy BTW I am a red seal refrigeration and heating mechanic since 87

Lots of companies OEM from Midea, but Senville has the best price of any I could find. If you can cut and flare your own lines, you might get the inside and outside unit a tiny bit cheaper from Midbec, but flaring high-pressure lines can be tricky. I didn't give 5 stars because they are shipped only in a cardboard box with foam packing, so my unit had a slightly bent foot. If they were shipped strapped to a small pallete, or if the box for the outside unit had a wooden base, they'd be better protected during shipping. If you are only installing one, you might be better off hiring a HVAC tech to pull a vacuum on the lines. I've installed a couple, so it's worth the ~$250 for a vacuum pump and manifold gauge set.

Very good unit,this is the fourth Ashville unit I have. 2 9000btu. 1 12000 unit and 1 four head 36000btu unit works great.

I just finished installing this unit, doing everything myself including pulling a deep vacuum on the lines, pressure test, and releasing the refrigerant. The heat pump is working really well and is actually quieter than I expected it would be. All functions checked out during test. I wouldn't recommend anyone doing it this way unless they had a proven record of technical competence, and the time and will to learn how to do it properly. It also takes a fair investment in tools. But, in my remote area I deemed it worthwhile to forgo the warranty in exchange for the experience which will make future maintenance self reliant. I am impressed with the build quality, and fit and finish of this unit. The outdoor unit is heavy and well made, nothing tinny about it. There is no noticeable vibration which must be one of the benefits of the scroll compressors with DC inverter tech. It was a really great experience to install it, turn it on, and have everything actually work as it's supposed to! Time will tell, but based on my experience so far I would not hesitate to buy another Senville Aura. I found support at sogoodtobuy.ca to be prompt and useful; Samantha was great.

This is a supplementary unit for a 30,000 BTU Senville unit with 2 - 12,000 BTU heads I installed last year. This unit I purchased for our bath room as we found it a little chilly with the heat pumps in cold weather. My heating bill has gone down by more than 1/2 with the original heat pump. This is the second winter and so far every thing is great. The major point is get the AURA model and not the cheaper model. I say this from speaking to people that have gone the cheap rout and are not satisfied, guess you get what you pay for.
